I have 18 years of physical therapy experience. Starting as a contractor working with active duty military, my focus has been outpatient physical therapy. In 2009, I began working at a combined physical therapy clinic and Pilates studio. This led to my training in Pilates by Balanced Body University. Now, I incorporate Pilates into my physical therapy treatments. With an emphasis on posture, alignment, core strength, and flexibility, I feel Pilates creates a whole body approach to treating injuries.
My physical therapy utilizes a wide variety of manual skills, precise therapeutic exercises, Pilates, balance, proprioception, gait assessment and training, and movement analysis.
Pilates introduced me to women’s health (specifically perinatal care) and Pilates for the aging body. These two areas have become something I feel connected to and passionate about.
I provide physical therapy as well as Pilates services. All PT sessions are one-on-one for 55 minutes to maintain quality of care and focus. Pilates sessions are private, semi-private, or specialty group classes.
